Highlights:
A short flight south of the United States lies a verdant jungle paradise teeming with wildlife and grand adventures. Costa Rica’s ecological diversity is extraordinary and our journey aims to introduce you to the country’s rich wildlife while enjoying a variety of outdoor adventure activities.
Over the course of our journey, we spend three days kayaking in Tortuguero National Park, two days rafting on the Pacuare River amidst cascading waterfalls, a day exploring Monte Verde cloud forest and two days biking, hiking, and exploring the flanks of Arenal, a highly active volcano. We’ll stay at nicely appointed hotels and in several nature lodges that have been hand selected to offer us fine accommodations and extraordinary locations.
Our itinerary offers the chance to view hundreds of bird and animal species, including quetzals, toucans, spider monkeys, sloth, ring-tailed coatimundi, leatherback turtles, and a variety of colorful frogs and lizards. We also have the unique opportunity to dine with a traditional family and enjoy their privately owned hot springs at the base of Arenal Volacano. Led by expert naturalist guides, our journey will embed in our hearts the quintessential Costa Rican phrase “Pura Vida!”—Pure Life!
